3D Printer Competition

This term all early years, primary and secondary establishments across Glasgow are being invited to de-sign and 3D model a Christmas bauble for the chance to win a Robox Dual 3D Printer!

Establishments* wishing to enter should fill out the submission form and send to: by Monday 10th December 2018.

 *One entry per Glasgow CC establishment.


British Science Week 2019

British Science Week takes place from the 8th to the 17th March 2019. To celebrate STEM Glasgow have developed a series of challenges for pupils to complete. Have a go and share your answers using #STEMGlasgow on twitter.

Hackathon 2019 Application Form

To celebrate the Glasgow Science Festival this June, STEM Glasgow are running a Hackathon for Glasgow secondary schools.

Schools can sign up to take part on either Wednesday 12th or Thursday 13th of June. The Hackathon will take place at the Riverside Museum running from 9.30am – 2.30pm. Schools can bring up to 5 pupils to take part from either S2 or S3. If your establishment would like to take part then fill out the registration form and return no later than Friday the 24th of May by emailing



This resource is perfect for anyone who wants to try some STEM experiments at home. There are a range of activities from Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths that can all be done with simple household items.

STEM Glasgow Science Grant


STEM Glasgow are offering Glasgow City Council education establishments* the opportunity to apply for a science grant of £150. The purpose of the grant is to support science projects in all establishments.  Complete the application form and send to no later than Friday 7th December 2018. Each establishment will be notified of the outcome of their application before the Christmas break. *Please note that establishments with Primary STEM Leaders are not eligible for this grant.
