STEM School of the Month - May '19
Congratulations to Hyndland Primary who are STEM School of the Month for May!
Hyndland Primary have been hard at work this month providing STEM activities both in the classroom and at after school clubs.
Hyndland Primary had lots on offer for pupils during National Digital Learning Week 2019. The schools Digital Leaders, made up of P3 – P7 pupils, lead digital activities across the school including; coding BeeBots, Spheros, online modelling, creating iMovies and using augmented reality to learn about their bodies and Space.
There have also been some fantastic after school clubs on offer including the P7 3D Printing Club. Pupils used TinkerCAD to create keyrings and even took part in the STEM Glasgow Dippy the Dinosaur Challenge which saw pupils design and print dino themed models which they then presented at a celebration event at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
Hyndland Primary also took part in the University of Strathclyde's ‘Island Explorers’ project in which teams of pupils developed a solution to an environmental issue that they then presented at the national YESC STEM Celebration at the Glasgow Science Centre on the 31st of May.
