STEM School of the Month - Aug '18

The children have hardly been back, yet there are lots of great examples of good STEM practice already on show across the city.

Carmyle Primary School have been following on from last year’s great work and were recently awarded the Digital Schools Award due to how they are using technology to support learning across the curriculum. It was noted during the verification that “Through creative and purposeful use of the digital technologies it is apparent that the pupils have increased motivation and evidence shared by the school demonstrates that it has also raised attainment.”

In P6 the STEM Wednesday Wonder Class has been taking place where the children have been carrying out science experiments whilst using technology to plan their and predict whilst documenting their findings. They have even been also investigating floating and sinking whilst linking it to their class text.

Well done!
