On the 21st and 22nd of November at Glasgow Science Centre, STEM Glasgow hosted their annual STEM employability event with the aim to highlight STEM careers/pathways for secondary pupils. The event was organised so that young people from across Glasgow could take part in a variety of interactive and engaging workshops that would provide them with more information about careers/further study in STEM.

Young people also had the chance to talk to over 40 organisations in an employers marketplace about the breadth of jobs/careers that are available, and what qualifications and skills will help them on that pathway.

There was lots on offer over the two days including:

  • An Employers Marketplace where they could engage directly with employers/higher education institutions
  • Participating in a variety of industry led workshops ranging from live dissections and infection control to aeronautical engineering
  • Full access to the Glasgow Science Mall

The STEM Glasgow team would like to say a massive thank you to all schools, volunteers and partners who made the event such a positive experience for all!
