Health & Safety Update

The Council’s Education Health and Safety Team will support and liaise with the Education Service Directorate and will advise all levels of management and staff in matters relating to all Health and Safety.

SSERC

SSERC have released Health and Safety guidance for the return to school regarding COVID-19 for primary and secondary settings. This information can be found here: https://www.sserc.org.uk/health-safety/covid-19-back-to-school/

SSERC have also updated subject related guidance and have had a significant revamp of the physics documentation. To access follow this link: https://www.sserc.org.uk/health-safety/

This should be used in addition to GCC guidance.

 

STEM the Spread - Posters

All Glasgow City Council Establishments have been sent a set of 'STEM the Spread' posters. However, they are also available to download and print. The posters highlight the key ‘keep safe’ messages that should be shared widely:

  • Wash hands
  • Catch your cough/sneeze
  • Don’t touch your face
  • Keep your distance

The poster packs can be downloaded from the 'Key Documents' section on the STEM Glasgow website. Posters are also available in Gaelic.
